Before you start — one tip that will make this audit more useful

Most registered providers who do this audit make the same mistake: they rush. They scan the questions, mentally tick “we’re probably fine,” and put the document aside feeling vaguely reassured.

Don’t do that. The whole point is to find drift you don’t yet know about — and drift is invisible until you slow down enough to look at it properly.

My suggestion: do Section 2 first (Incident and Risk Management). It’s the section where drift is most dangerous, and the answers tend to surprise people the most. If you’re already drifted on incident reporting, you want to know that today — not in your next audit.

The full audit takes about 20 minutes if you do it properly. Block out the time on your calendar before you forget.

What happens next
