About Splana
An operator-built consultancy for mid-market NDIS providers.
Splana works with Australian NDIS providers in the $5M–$30M revenue segment. We focus on the operational areas that decide whether a provider grows into the July 2026 registration expansion or gets caught by it — billing integrity, compliance drift, reconciliation cadence, and the day-to-day systems that keep the business audit-ready without absorbing the operator's calendar.
We implement rather than report. Every engagement leaves your team with working systems and documented processes, not a 200-page findings deck.
The founding story
Built by an operator, for operators.
Splana was founded by Gabriel Gichuhi after over 8 years of experience working and operating in NDIS businesses across multiple registration groups. The methodology the consultancy uses today was developed and refined during that period — the same methods used inside the NDIS businesses that preceded Splana.
Splana exists because the mid-market segment kept running into the same pattern: billing leakage that no one had time to reconcile, compliance drift that only surfaced at audit, and operations subsidised by the founder's unpaid hours. The generic consulting model — reports handed over, teams left to implement alone — wasn't fixing it. Splana was built to fix the operating layer directly, alongside the client's team, with the systems staying in the business after the engagement ends.

Where the methodology comes from
The frameworks were tested inside operating businesses, not built in a slide deck.
Splana's methodology was developed and refined through direct operator experience — the same methods used inside the NDIS businesses that preceded the consultancy. The reconciliation cadences, the compliance drift diagnostics, the margin-recovery protocols and the audit-readiness checklists were all built to solve real problems in real service operations before they became a client-facing engagement.
That's why every service tier is anchored in what actually works at operational scale in the $5M–$30M segment — not adapted from enterprise consulting frameworks, and not scaled up from small-provider templates.
Validation
Anchored in 13 structured interviews with mid-market provider CEOs.
Across 2025, Splana conducted 13 structured interviews with CEOs and Managing Directors of mid-market NDIS providers across Australia. The conversations covered billing integrity, registration readiness, reconciliation cadence, board reporting, workforce economics, and where the operational and regulatory pressure is actually landing in this segment.
Every service tier, every diagnostic question, and every recommendation is calibrated against the patterns those conversations surfaced — combined with the operator experience the methodology was built on.
Who works at Splana
A small team, deliberately.
Splana is intentionally a small team. Every engagement is delivered by senior consultants — no juniors, no hand-offs.

Where Splana is going
Multi-consultant delivery, software leverage, mid-market focus.
Splana's next phase is multi-consultant delivery — expanding the team so more mid-market providers can access the same methodology without waiting on a single calendar. The bar for who joins the delivery team stays high, and every consultant is trained on the frameworks the founding operator built.
The Registration Assistant — Splana's purpose-built software for the July 2026 registration expansion — is in active development. It productises the parts of the methodology that don't require a consultant in the room: audit-recognisable documentation generation, evidence assembly, and internal audit cadence.
The focus stays where it has always been: Australian mid-market NDIS providers, $5M–$30M in revenue, who want their operating layer built to a standard that holds up under both a growth push and a Commission audit.
